Ski areas Lombardy

The Italian region of Lombardy lies to the west of South Tyrol and Trentino. It stretches from the Alps in the north to the Po Valley in the south. The ski resorts here are less known than those in the Dolomites, but they are definitely worth a visit. Popular ski resorts in the area are Livigno and Bormio. Lombardy also boasts some of the Alps' highest peaks, such as Piz Zupò and Gran Zebrù.

Due to the region being less popular, the slopes are less crowded, and the waiting times at the lifts are almost non-existent, especially if you choose resorts like Madesimo or Aprica. Skiing possibilities here are just as extensive but less known to a large audience. The region caters to both skiing fanatics and families. When you add the Italian cuisine and the perfectly groomed slopes, you'll understand why Lombardy is such an excellent ski region.
