Ski resorts in United Kingdom

The UK ski scene is a testament to just how much British people love skiing. Despite variable snow conditions at the low-altitude ski areas, the resorts are cheerfully and doggedly maintained, often by volunteers. It's not the Alps, but skiing in Britain is truly something you should try at least once.

If you live within easy reach of the ski resorts in Northern England or Scotland, it's nice to know that you can hop in the car on a snow day and be skiing within a matter of hours. Although the ski resorts are rather small, many of them boast fantastic off-piste terrain. And of course, this is a great place to learn skiing or snowboarding without shelling out the big bucks.
