Ski areas Salzburger Land

The Austrian state of Salzburg offers endless winter sports possibilities and is, for many British people, the destination for annual winter sports. Whether you come for a family holiday, a skiing holiday with friends or a company outing: with over 60 different ski resorts and hundreds of kilometres of pistes, there is plenty to choose from! Salzburg is home to some of Austria's most popular ski resorts, but there are also plenty of options to avoid the crowds.

A great advantage of this state is that many ski resorts can be accessed with the same ski pass, which enables you to thoroughly explore the area during your holiday. Ski amadé, formed by the ski areas of Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig and Grossarltal, is Austria's largest ski region. The 760 km of slopes stretch over the states of Salzburg and Styria and can be accessed with the same ski pass. Another option for many kilometres of pistes is the SuperSkiCard. With this pass, you can access almost all ski resorts in Salzburg.

Varied winter sports in Salzburg

The state of Salzburg offers winter sports enthusiasts plenty of variety. The pistes of Obertauern, the most snow-sure skiing area of the federal state, can be visited early in the season. Sporty skiers will soon feel at home in the Salzburg Sports World, and kilometre-eaters should check out the Skicircus or Zell am See - Kaprun, also suitable for après-ski lovers. At the Hofstadl in Flachau, it's party night after night, just like in villages like Saalbach and Hinterglemm. What about skiing with children? Wildkogel Arena, Filzmoos and Almenwelt Lofer are family-friendly tips.
