Good ski mountaineering options
Chandolin is one of the highest and permanently inhabited towns of Europe. At an altitude of 2130 metres, this is no surprise. The village has managed to protect its old charm making it a cosy and pleasant spot to spend a ski holiday. The ski area is just above the village and of course snow is perfectly guaranteed. Among the 60 kilometres of ski slopes there are some lovely red downhill runs where the average skier can have a great time for many hours. To beginners the ski area can be a little bit too much and for experts; perhaps not challenging enough because of the missing black runs.
