Bürchen (Switzerland)

The Valais mountain village of Bürchen is located on a terrace high above the Rhone Valley and is a fifteen minute drive from the lower Visp. The village has established itself in recent years as "birch `village" and that is not surprising as it is surronding with birch woods! There is an educational Birch walk where you can learn interesting facts about the trees and there are all sorts of souvenirs you can buy too!
