Ski area Oppdal

Based on 1 reviews

Oppdal in short

  • Height: 550 - 1350 metres
  • Beautiful setting
  • Very family-friendly
  • Awesome snow parks

Situated in central Norway, Oppdal is one of the most popular ski resorts in the country. Not surprising, as it has over 50km of pistes and guaranteed snow. Freeriders will have a field day here with some of the best off-piste terrain in all of Norway, and freestylers will appreciate the two snow parks.

The ski area at Oppdal is divided into three smaller ski areas: Vangslia, Hovden and Stolen. This is a great destination for families, but also for experienced skiers and snowboarders, who will find no shortage of challenging terrain. Oppdal boasts wide, gentle slopes for practising carving as well as several steeper pistes that require more technical skill. Cross-country skiers have about 100km of trails to explore. Oppdal also offers dogsledding, ice climbing, snow rafting and curling as well as a good assortment of après-ski institutions.
