The train ride from Oslo to Lillehammer/Hafjell takes almost 2 hours, but it's well worth the journey. This ski area is suitable to every level of skier, with over 40km of pistes. A recently renovated lift system and an 8km long valley run round out the downhill skiing offer. Meanwhile, cross-country skiers will fall in love with Lillehammer/Hafjell and its 350km of magnificent cross-country trails. Lillehammer is very family-friendly and provides an indoor playground as well as a winter amusement park.

Lillehammer ski area is situated in Hafjell and gained international renown when it hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics. The image of a torchbearer carved in the woods bordering the ski resort pays tribute to this exciting history. Hafjell is located 15km north of Lillehammer/Hafjell and prides itself on being Norway's third-largest ski area. Although the pistes only reach an altitude of 1030m above sea level, there is never a shortage of snow in this northern ski area.
