Montgenèvre is a small ski resort located in the heart of the Alps which has a good range of local skiing, particularly well suited to beginners and intermediates. This ski area holds one of the highest snowfall records in Europe and offers approximately 400km of ski slopes! .

This ski area in France, along with four others, make up the world famous Voie Lactée or "Milky Way" ski area. As mentioned, there is a good range of local skiing in the Montgenèvre which is particularly well suited to beginners and intermediates. Once up in the Milky Way ski area, there are runs for all ski tastes and levels, from beginners to experts. In addition, many off-piste ski opportunities can be found here. For snowboarders there is a snowpark in Montgenèvre's own ski area, plus two open bowls in the Milky Way, and some excellent free-riding terrain.
