This ski area in France, along with four others, make up the world famous Voie Lactée or "Milky Way" ski area. As mentioned, there is a good range of local skiing in the Montgenèvre which is particularly well suited to beginners and intermediates. Once up in the Milky Way ski area, there are runs for all ski tastes and levels, from beginners to experts. In addition, many off-piste ski opportunities can be found here.
