La Clusaz is a nice ski resort with a good variety of slopes for every level. There are slopes through the trees, a few green and blue slopes for beginners and nice challenging slopes for more advanced skiers. Although there's a freestyle zone, we would have liked to see more slopes for experts.

I have been skiing in La Clusaz since the early 90s. My children learnt to ski there. The whole family fell in love with La Clusaz and we come back every year. La Clusaz is a friendly, relaxed ski resort with pretty buildings, good choice of restaurants on and off the slopes. Great resort for families as plenty of varied skiing. Slopes are well maintained. Highly recommended.

The skiing is what you would expect - varied, relativley well looked after pistes (although not every day). Reasonable prices for generally good service - in restaurants and hotel. Nice resort to wander around in the evenings and a super spa with jacuzzi etc - just what we needed after our days on the slopes.

Every year we come to La Clusaz, it's really convenient to get to from Lyon. This year, we chose to come out of season in January with the kids and we saw the difference: the slopes are much less crowded than in February and it is much more enjoyable. In addition, we fell on the weekend of the Full Moon Party: extraordinary experience skiing under the stars!

La Clusaz really is the perfect ski resort - I am trying to think of something it's missing! Lovely traditional resort centre with its church and chalets for the authentic charm and then a modern area, with facilities a gogo! The skiing is varied and athletic, with some awesome off-piste itineraries (La combe du Borderan after a foot of snow - out of this world!). The slopes are divided into five areas, without the need to take the ski bus, so you never get bored with so much choice. We chatted with a few cross country skiers and hikers who also said they loved the options here in the Confins area, a beautiful location a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the resort. The après-ski is exceptional: bars, pubs and clubs are numerous in the atmosphere is just what we were looking for.
