Between 1952 and 1959 the Lipnostau lake was constructed in Czech Bohemia. Together with the town of Lipno nad Vltavou, today this is one of the best known recreational areas of the Czech Republic. Besides many natives, tourists from all over Europe appreciate this ski holiday destination; not in the least because of the low prices that are usually charged at Czech ski resorts.
