In this exciting contest that was made possible thanks to Sunweb, participants stood to win a ski holiday in the idyllic Austrian ski resort of Galtür, Paznaun. The prize package consists of 5-day stay at the luxurious four-star Vaya Resort, Galtür for two people, plus a 4-day lift pass at the Silvapark Galtür. The recently renovated resort provides everything you need for a lovely holiday in the snow, with elegantly furnished apartments and a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. A large swimming pool, wellness area and top-notch restaurant round out the offer. The Vaya Resort is located just steps from the ski shuttle stop, which whisks you to the ski area a couple kilometres away. A winter holiday at the Vaya Resort offers both relaxation and adrenaline. Why settle for anything less?
In order to be eligible for the prize, participants had to provide the correct answer to the following question: Which award did Galtür receive in 1997? The correct answer could be found on this page, but we'll tell you again here: the correct answer is "climatic health resort". Among the many correct responses we have drawn one lucky winner today:
Congratulations! You'll be enjoying a trip to Austria!
Galtür is a tranquil village at the end of Paznaun, in Austria. Despite its proximity to the famous ski resort of Ischgl, mass tourism has yet to mar the slopes in Galtür. The region offers rest and relaxation, guaranteed snow and a varied range of activities for all ages. A beautiful ski area with over 40km of slopes can be enjoyed in complete peace. After an active day in the snow, holidaymakers can choose to end the day in the aquatic centre or in one of the many cosy mountain huts.
Born and raised in the ski paradise of Vancouver, Canada, I learned to ski before I can remember, balancing precariously on my parents’ skis as they sailed down the hill. I started snowboarding in my teens and am now delighted to be exploring everything Europe’s ski scene has to offer!
