St. Anton to open ski season with Melanie C concert

St. Anton will kick off the 2018/19 ski season with a joint concert by American singer-songwriter Anastacia and Melanie C, the former Spice Girl. The ski season opening weekend, which takes places from November 29-December 2, will also feature a giant slalom race, a ski and snowboard test and an Audi driving experience. The ski area will officially open on November 30.

Having attained worldwide fame in her persona as Sporty Spice (how fitting it should be this Spice Girl to grace a ski resort with her presence!), Melanie C then went on to produce hits of her own as well as duets alongside artists such as Bryan Adams. Her latest album, Version Of Me, came out just last year and achieved high critical acclaim. Melanie C has performed at some of the most hallowed halls of music including the O2 Arena in London, at Madison Square Garden in New York and at the 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony. Her albums have gone platinum around the world.

About Danielle

Born and raised in the ski paradise of Vancouver, Canada, I learned to ski before I can remember, balancing precariously on my parents’ skis as they sailed down the hill. I started snowboarding in my teens and am now delighted to be exploring everything Europe’s ski scene has to offer!
