Just below the famous Brenner Pass at 1165 meters of altitude is the village of Gries. From this traditional village there is a chairlift that will take you up to the 2113 meter high Sattelberg. Once up at the top, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful red descent. In Gries you can enjoy some wonderful hiking and cross country skiing. Even when the snow is limited, there are still four kilometers of trails at a higher altitude. Since Roman times Gries is known as a cozy village with friendly people.
