Westendorf in short

  • Lively village with pleasant slopes near the centre
  • The slopes near the village are quiet
  • Many options for hikers
  • Exuberant après-ski

The typical Austrian ski resort is a famous concept because of the pleasant and traditional charm and if there is one village that meets this description, it has to be Westendorf. This authentic ski resort with excellent skiing and its lively après-ski, just as you would expect from a Tyrol alpine village, has something for everyone - even families with young children.

After more than 12 million trips and 25 000 operating hours, it's time to retire the Fleidingbahn chairlift in Westendorf, at the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental.  The lift, which has been in operation since 1983, will carry its last riders at the end of March 2019.  The Fleidingbahn chairlift will be replaced by a modern 8-person chairlift that will whisk skiers and snowboarders comfortably to the top of the SkiWelt....
