Saas Fee is a great, high altitude ski resort. The piste map and categories are a bit misleading. Many of the runs seemed to be under-rated - ie blues should have been reds, reds should have been black and the black should have been reds! Although everyone in our mixed level group had a great week, everyone had a little moan about this - the beginners had a hard time on the return to the resort as the blues are tricky and narrow. I'd advice taking the cable car back at the end of the day when legs are tired! There seemed to be lots of nice blue runs low down around the village so maybe best for beginners to hang out there.
The intermediates (me included) would advise to beware of the red runs from Plattjen and Spielboden which are quite steep and should probably be black!
The village itself is just lovely - we must have taken a thousand photos! Great weather and great snow - hope you have the same :)
- Pistes not rated correctly
- Expensive food and drink
