The well-kept secret, Engelberg, is virtually unknown to British skiers and is often underrated as a good ski holiday destination. Thanks to its glacier, which guarantees year round snow cover, and the diversity of the ski slopes, this ski area is attractive to all types of skiers, and will satisfy the most varied demands. Here, snowboarders will also find all they could possibly wish for, the best of the best! Many kilometres of well-kept paths offer long, relaxing walks through the enchanting natural environment.
The Engelberg ski area, which totals 90km of marked ski runs, also offers some impressive and well-known off-piste tracks including the most famous 1000m drop from the top of Titlis. Opportunities for intermediate skiers and beginners are abound here as there area some good ski schools to choose from. Engelberg’s ski slopes are mainly north-facing and this, along with the fact that most of the skiing is above 1800m, means that snow conditions are excellent throughout the winter season.
