Frutigen is a beautiful village with many charming old chalets. Later in the spring, hikers can really enjoy this area across green meadows and fragrant woods. Frutigen is also a lot cheaper than nearby Adelboden. The ski area of Frutigen is strangely closer to Adelboden than Frutigen itself. You will find 25 kilometers of runs spread over the Elsigenalp and Metschalp. From Frutigen there is a bus to the valley station of the modern gondola lift.
