Trafoi (1570 meters ) is a quiet little mountain village in the ski area of Ortles. In the summer you can drive up the 46 hairpin bends on the way to Bormio. In winter the pass is closed and Trafoi is the end of the road. A chairlift and two drag lifts open up a total of 10 km of slopes, including a short, black descent from the highest point of the ski area. There is also a short cross-country trail.
