Kiens (or Chienes) at 835 meters is situated together with a number of other smaller villages in the Val Pusteria to the north of the Plan de Corones. Although this village itself has no connection to the ski resort of Plan de Corones there is a free bus to the area at least three times a day. The valley itself offers many opportunities for both skiers and hikers. There is also an ice rink .
