The village of Meransen, or Maranza in Italian, is perched on a ridge and is ideal for people who love nature and tranquility. This sunny town in Eisacktal is not overrun by mass tourism so here you will experience the real South Tyrolean still life. Of course, major facilities such as a supermarket and a few sports shops are present. The village has a small but beautiful ski area on the Gitschberg.
