Thermal baths in Bormio
With narrow streets, ancient cobbled streets, the town of Bormio in the Alta Valtellina region is one of the most charming ski resorts in Italy. The centre of Bormio has something for everybody, even a thermal spa.
Piazza Cavour is very cozy at weekends and during holidays. Most hotels are within 10 minutes walk from the Centro Storico. The nightlife is very cozy, especially in the bars in the old town. Bormio is located near the charming village of Santa Caterina. Close by you will find the Gavia Pass, which is famous because of the Giro d' Italia cycling race which passes through here. Overall, the ski pistes here are quite difficult, and for this reason the area is more suited for advanced skiers. There are various long red runs that give superb views of the surrounding mountain scenery.
