Oberstdorf is a winter sports resort with an international feel. The very picturesque valley, extending among the Allgäu mountains, has preserved that typical old-fashioned atmosphere. Car traffic is limited to a few areas. The variety of the ski slopes manages to fully satisfy both beginners and more expert skiers. Cross-country skiers also have a wide choice of both easy and difficult trails. The longest is 16 km and unwinds over an altitude difference of 100m. The well maintained ski slopes and the fantastic environment perfectly adapted for winter excursions and cross-country skiing, guarantee full satisfaction for all visitors.
