Fresh new snow! Powder alert in the Alps

Winter isn’t over! It seems that Mother Nature didn’t get the memo about it being spring, but you won’t hear us complaining! Ski resorts in Austria and Switzerland are preparing for round two of ski season after a dump of fresh powder on Thursday and even more expected over the next week. It’s pretty safe to say a lot of the powder should still be there, thanks to empty springtime slopes and silly people who think it’s summer. Here are a few photos to get you back in the mood for winter sports. Grab your ski gear and book a holiday quickly to take advantage of the fresh pow!

Stubai Glacier

Stubai Glacier boasts a snow base of more than 200cm, with almost all of the pistes open for business. More snow is expected later this week. Stubai’s ski season doesn’t end until June 18 – check out the Stubai Zoo terrain park, one of the most popular training grounds for some of the biggest international freestyle athletes.
