The 2014 "Top of the Mountain" concert in Ischgl in Austria was legendary! On Saturday, Robbie Williams and his famous 25-piece band put on an amazing show on the Idalp stage at almost 2,300 meters above sea level. Around 25,000 very enthusiastic fans witnessed the megastar with his entire big band framed by the spectacular mountain scenery of the Austrian Alps. Robbie Williams caused a mega mood and played the season finale in Ischgl with songs from his latest album "Swings Both Ways". In addition to his swing tracks, Robbie surprised his fans with popular classics such as "Let Me Entertain You", "Angels", and "Feel".

"Let Me Entertain You" is the "perfect opening song," says Robbie Williams and I believe he might be right! The 20 year-old "Top of the Mountain" concert in Ischgl opened with this huge hit and Robbie had the 25,000 fans on a real high despite the heavy snowfalls. The highlight of the show was when Robbie, soon to be a father for the second time, sang a duet with his own father, Peter, who had also traveled to the Austrian Alps for the show. The concert lasted 1 and a half hours and Robbie Williams earned around 1.5 million euros for the appearance!

Robbie claims the best audience yet at the "Top of the Mountain" concert

Robbie Williams said the audience at the Austrian Top of the Mountain concert was his favorite audience in the whole world! And he said "I can`t believe how beautiful it is here". Other international stars such as Elton John, Kylie Minogue and Alicia Keys, who previously played in Ischgl, also showed their enthusiasm and awe for the stunning Austrian Alps. Each year, the ski resort of Ischgl tries to top the previous year’s star – how they will manage this for 2015, we just can’t imagine! Robbie Williams is a keen snowboarder and often takes ski holidays in Zermatt in Switzerland. Maybe we’ll see him up on the Austrian slopes over the next few years with this young family…

About Nikki

Being lucky enough to have parents who were crazy about skiing, my love for the mountains started when I was 4 years old on our first family ski holiday to Austrian ski resort of Obergurl. One ski holiday a year was never enough and tears rolled down my face as I looked out the back window of the car on the drive down the valley on the way home!
