Mountopolis, the adventure world of the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, lies at the heart of the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000. The ski area offers over 140 km of slopes spread across the Ahorn (1965 m), Penken (2095 m), and Hornberg (2278 m). Mountopolis is also directly connected to the Rastkogel (2500 m) and Eggalm (2300 m), allowing for scenic ski tours every day. This modern ski area has something for everyone—from families to advanced and athletic skiers.
Mountopolis: varied and sporty
From the villages of Schwendau, Hippach, Mayrhofen, and Finkenberg, you can access the slopes of Mountopolis by Mayrhofner Bergbahnen. Of the total 142 km of pistes, 44 km are blue, 66 km red, and 32 km black, making this ski area incredibly diverse for all levels and ages. Beginners will find plenty of easy slopes and practice areas to hone their skills. More advanced skiers can enjoy full-day tours or take on the challenge of black slopes like the Harakiri or DevilsRun. For children, there are several fun kids' areas, and cozy mountain huts are plentiful. A local tip: the Ahorn, located on the opposite side of Mayrhofen and also part of Mountopolis, is usually quieter, and its 5.5 km valley descent is highly recommended.
