This impressive region in the Austrian Alps with more than 60 mountain peaks exceeding 3000 metres of altitude has many long downhill ski runs and some impressively large off-piste terrains just waiting to be discovered. One of the highlights in this ski area is definitely the ski tour on the Grossglockner.

The Goldried ski area, as it is now called, has constantly been improving its infrastructure over the years and offers over 110km of wonderful pristine ski slopes. The 12 kilometre-long (7 miles) Cima Ross ski run down to the resort is the longest slope in East Tirol. Breathtaking views of the 3000 metre-high peaks await from the top of the lifts. You cannot help yourself stoppng for a moment to take it all in! Facilities here for snowboarders include a half pipe and for the young ski enthusiasts there is Bobo's Kinderland with its play park, conveyer lift and a separate area for children's ski school with a practice area. Cross-country skiers are also granted a wonderful circuit of no less than 70 kilometres.
