Tamsweg is the most famous village in the Lungau region, one of the best ski areas in Europe. 150 kilometers of slopes and 50 lifts provide sufficient variety and possibilities for all winter sports fans. The area is suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders. With the 6-seater Samson lift (the longest 6-seater lift in the world) and the new 8-seater gondola you can easily reach all the peaks and valleys in the area. For snowboarders, Aineck, one of the ski areas in Lungau, has a beautiful landscaped boarder park, where snowboarders can practice jumps and tricks.
