Kühtai in short

  • Guaranteed snow
  • Family-friendly ski area
  • You can ski right up to the front door

Although Kühtai’s number of ski slope kilometres may be somewhat disappointing, the guaranteed snow and the favourable position of the ski slopes around this ski resort make up for many things. You can ski right up to almost every front door, ski around the village and discover ski slopes in every colour. For those who do get bored however, can take the ski bus to Oetz. All the ski slopes lead to the village so many families return to the village for lunch, however, there are some mountain restaurants but which tend to fill up very quickly.

Snow cover is one of the most important aspects of a ski holiday. There's nothing worse than arriving at your skiing destination after a long summer and finding the hills still green and covered in flowers! It's a little hard to ski without snow, and since we've all experienced this horrorshow at least once in our lives, we've learned to scope out ski resorts with guaranteed snow at the moment of booking our holidays. If you're planning on going skiing in Austria this year, here are 10 Austrian ... More ›

It's inching towards spring skiing weather in many ski resorts and this is the perfect time to be seeking out the best mountain terraces in the Alps!  The longer days and warm weather make you want to spend every second outside, so instead of huddling around a hearth clutching mugs of mulled wine, you'll increasingly find us skiers and snowboarders shedding the winter jacket and kicking back with an Aperol Spritz in a sun lounger, enjoying the sunshine!  Here are 10 of our favourite al... When is the last time you were in an infinity pool at 2050m above sea level? That's right, never. This incredible spot in Kühtai breaks the mould, allowing winter sport enthusiasts to soothe their muscles on the hotel’s gorgeous rooftop terrace after a long day of skiing. Between the calming water and the spectacular views of the Alps, you’ll soon feel rejuvenated and ready to hit the slopes again tomorrow! Ok, ok, we’ll admit it, this post was mostly just an excuse to drool over pictures of... More ›
