The predicted snow has arrived! It is currently snowing incredibly hard in parts of the Alps. The team from Poederbaas (Powder Boss in Dutch) headed straight to the mountains to enjoy the fresh powder like true 'Powder Bosses'. Here’s a live update from Prato Nevoso, where they are right now.
Stenmar, founder and owner of the Dutch brand Poederbaas, didn’t hesitate for a second when he saw the weather charts. He packed up and drove to Italy with his family. We already reported last week that a significant amount of snow had fallen in the area with more on the way, but we never dared to dream it would be this much. While we are stuck behind our laptops, Stenmar is currently standing waist-deep in fresh powder.
While we get to enjoy these incredible images, the locals in Prato are working hard to clear the roads and lifts. Stenmar told us: “We saw the forecast on your site and decided to chase the storm. We arrived last night, and since then, about 120cm (nearly 4 feet) of fresh snow has fallen.” And it hasn't stopped yet. “It just keeps dumping!”
