Saint-Luc (Switzerland)

Saint-Luc is located on the sunny slopes of Val d'Anniviers. Unlike the picturesque Grimentz, Saint-Luc is an entirely different sight. In 1859 a fire destroyed the entire village and the village was rebuilt using stone instead of wood. However, the beautiful view of Matterhorn remained intact! On the edge of St Luc a cable train goes up to Tignousa, just above the tree line. Because of its location, the ski slopes surrounding Tignousa always have good snow cover right to the end of the season.
