Lötschental (Switzerland)

Lötschental has only been accessible to outsiders since the advent of the constuction of the railway in 1910. The valley had been previously cut off from the rest of the world for centuries. And it shows! Lötschental is still full of traditions of yesteryear and still has a strong desire for independence. The villages in the valley have been modernized and fully equipped without detracting from the atmosphere. The ski resort of Lötschental is fun for skiers of all levels. For snowboarders there is also plenty to do.
