Leukerbad is a world-famous health resort in the Wallis mountains. The healing effect of these springs was discovered ages ago attracting loads of tourists ever since. Today the village is Switzerland’s largest ski resort offering thermal baths and wellness facilities. The natural source supplies almost 4 million litres of water at a temperature of 51°C every day. The ski area is located above an impressive rock face behind the village. The area consists of more than 50 km varied ski slopes, particularly suitable for advanced skiers.
