Anzère lies on a sunny plateau above the Rhone Valley, at the foot of the Wildhorn massif mountain range. It is a picturesque village that has a lot of fun activities to offer. Typical of this village are the so-called "barbecue houses", which are very popular especially in winter. Everyone gets involved with lighting the fire, adding pieces of meat which is eaten on a brochette or with toasted bread. And the great thing is that it's free!
Anzère is a ski resort created on the drawing board. In 1965, most hotels and chalets were built from scratch. This means there is a colourful pedestrian zone in the center which is beautifully landscaped, large chalet style buildings with restaurants and shops on the ground floor. The planners also took children into consideration as in the village square they built a two hundred meter long toboggan run along with other fun entertainment just for them. Anzère's skiing is especially suitable for more experienced skiers.
