The ski area Eggental is a little gem located in South Tyrol. The picturesque villages within this area are a part of the UNESCO-protected World Heritage of the Dolomites. These rugged rocky outcrops provide a stunning backdrop for a winter holiday. The views on Rosengarten, Latemar and Schlern massif are particularly impressive. It is possible to ski in two different ski areas which together offer around 90 km of slopes. The ski season starts in early December and snow cannons ensure a good snow throughout the season when needed.
Besides skiing and snowboarding, Eggental offers great opportunities of cross-country skiing with over 100 km of ski runs. If you prefer more adventurous activities, you can make beautiful trips on touring skis or snowshoes. In the region, 28 cozy mountain huts provide delicious local specialties. In Eggental they think of the environment. All the energy in the area used for ski lifts and snow cannons is “green”. In terms of accommodation, there is plenty of choice. Eggental offers no less than 13 four-star hotels, some of which are located directly on the slopes.
