Ski area Winterberg

The territory of Saurland can be found southeast of the North Rhineland area of Westfalia. Given its circa 800 m altitude, alpine skiing opportunities are somewhat modest. However, the music changes its tune when speaking about cross-country skiing, which can be practiced across the whole region. The numerous, high quality cross-country ski tracks will satisfy even the most avid cross-country skier. Special merit must be given to the cross-country circle tracks found in the district of Hochsauerland.
