Connected to the Chiemgau Marathon ski run
Counting about 6500 inhabitants, Ruhpolding is the largest village of the Chiemgau Region by far. The ski area is also one of the largest areas in Bavaria. An indoor swimming pool, climbing wall, a tennis court and a skating rink means there is plenty to do in and around this German ski resort. Daredevils can take hang gliding and paragliding lessons, others might be interested in visiting the lumberjack museum or the local art museum. The ski slopes at Ruhpolding particularly lend themselves to beginners.
