Orelle in short

  • Easily accessible
  • Access to the Trois Vallées ski area
  • Peaceful village atmosphere

Hidden behind Val Thorens and the famous summit, La Cime de Caron (at 3200 meters), is the small village of Orelle. Unlike neighboring villages, Orelle has kept its characteristic mountain village atmosphere and offers only authentic accommodation. The ski resort of Val Thorens and the whole of the 3 Vallées ski area can be reached by cable car in less than 30 minutes. Keep in mind the schedule for the 3 Vallées Express cable car because there are no return slopes to Orelle!

The tiny, unpretentious ski resort of Orelle in the beautiful Maurienne mountain range in Savoie, France, is not for those who like to eat in stylish restaurants and be seen in a different trendy bar every night. This low-key ski resort is for serious skiers who don’t want to pay the high prices in the neighbouring world-famous ski resorts or change for dinner every night, but who do want to have access to the endless ski slopes in the world’s largest ski area!... While most resorts are investing in the newest gondolas and bubble chairlifts with heated seats, some ski resorts are quietly turning to renewable energy in a bid to keep our winters white. From Switzerland to Austria to America, these ski resorts have successfully installed eco-friendly solar-powered lifts.... More ›

What’s more, the ski resorts near Turin Airport generally boast high-altitude slopes with stunning mountain views and no crowds, making it a fantastic skiing destination no matter what your level. Turin itself is a lovely city worth spending a day or ... More ›
