LEGO® bricks fans rejoice! The beloved toy company has brought us scenes inspired from NASA, Jurassic Park and Disney. Now it's finally fulfilling the fantasies of every skier who played with LEGO® bricks when they were a child. Following the previous release of a ski lift and a piste basher, this is the first time the toy company will present its fans with a full ski resort. Released as part of their City series, the set will contain 806 pieces and eleven minifigures.

LEGO® bricks ski resort will have snow park and rescue tower

The ski resort made with LEGO® bricks will have all the usual features: a ski shop with ski and snowboard racks, a beverage stand, a piste basher, a snowmobile, and a snow park sporting a halfpipe and a grind rail. In case of any skiing emergencies, there will also be a rescue station and a helicopter. The ski resort will be populated by ski patrol, a ski shop salesman, a skier, a snowboarder and other familiar figures. A dog and a snowman will add a whimsical touch. There will also be accessories including skis, snowboards, radios, snowshoes, a helmet with ski goggles, and 2 cupcakes - because why not.

LEGO® bricks ski set will be released at the end of summer

The set is expected to start selling at the beginning of September and will cost around £75. Whether you're Christmas shopping for a kid or a kid-at-heart, this is definitely one to put on your list this year! But you don't need to buy a ready-made set if you have the skills to build your own. One Youtube user already put his ingenuity to work to construct his very own sophisticated skiing cable car system. Eliasiten's working miniature 3S gondola has been painstakingly put together with more than 20 000 LEGO® pieces. It's about 2 metres long, with 13 cabins. You can check it out here.

Born and raised in the ski paradise of Vancouver, Canada, I learned to ski before I can remember, balancing precariously on my parents’ skis as they sailed down the hill. I started snowboarding in my teens and am now delighted to be exploring everything Europe’s ski scene has to offer!
