The picturesque farming village of Axams, situated at 878m of altitude, known for the Winter Olympics of 1964, when the first slopes were built, is still very popular today. Axams is very suitable for families with children. The village is south-facing and has a good snow record.
This ski area is very snow-sure and offers excellence on every level. In the valley at Axams there are 30 kilometers of ski runs, which connect to the trails of Götzens, Mutters and Natters. In and around Axams are several walking routes, particularly along the way to Axamer Lizum. Axamer Lizum is part of the large Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck ski area.
