Under the watchful eye of Mataunkopf and Pienkopf (2800 metres) lies the historic and charming village of Nauders, in a beautiful, forest-covered valley. This stunning area with its impressive rocky crags, deep ravines, wooded slopes and towering peaks is simply breathtaking. Nauders is quite something itself. Being one of Austria’s most snowy places, Nauders has welcomed quite a few tourists, however the historic centre is a protected area and the village’s character has stayed pretty much intact.
