The route to Italy which Hannibal chose with his elephants in 218 BC is still being used today. Here the villages of Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard, located right between the National Park of Vanoise and the regional park of Avigliana in Italy, together make up the beautiful Val Cenis. The long history is still felt in a pleasant, authentic atmosphere. Also, both villages border on a lovely ski area with more than 80 kilometres of ski slopes. Besides skiing and snowboarding, the beautiful area is also perfect for endless hikes.
