Ski area Eischoll

Visp, right at the centre of the Rodano Valley, is the ideal place for fearless and daring winter sports lovers. The small resort is located in a sunny region, surrounded by characteristic villages offering an authentic old-fashioned atmosphere. For beginners there are also numerous ski and snowboard options here. The hamlets of Zeneggen, Bürchen, Unterbäch and Eischoll are easily reached and offer further possibilities to enjoy winter sports. The “Glacier Express” makes for an unforgettable trip, for both skiers and non-skiers, which takes you through a magnificent tunnel, on the steep mountainside, along the Rodano Valley.

The Rund um Visp ski area is shared between two main ski resorts: Augstbord and Vispertal, including Visperterminen. Lifts take skiers and snowboarders up to the high plateaus at 2540m of altitude. Other ski resorts such as Bürchen/Törbel and Unterbäch with Eischoll can be reached using the free ski bus service. Those in search of peace and quiet should make for the slopes of Gspon, reached by cableway from Stalden or Staldenried. The 100km of ski slopes in this area are relatively equally shared out between all levels making this a good area for mixed ability groups.
