Ski areas Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Located north of the French Alps, Jura is the department's name and the mountain range. The mountain range has a length of 350 km and lies on both sides of the border between France and Switzerland. The south boasts the highest mountains, with the Crêt de la Neige (1,718 m) as its highest peak. This versatile area caters to all winter sports enthusiasts. There is also plenty of choice for winter hikers and cross-country skiers. But always check the snow conditions when planning a winter holiday in Jura!

Jura's ski resorts are not too big. They are ideal for families and beginners, but even kilometre-eaters may not be short of pistes. Monts Jura, Les Rousses and Métabief offer the most piste kilometres. But especially if you don't care about a large number of pistes, you can experience a wonderfully versatile winter holiday here. An advantage of Jura is that it is just a little closer than the ski resorts deeper in the French Alps.
