Small, beautiful and romantic ski resort
Arêches was established at the foot of the Beaufort mountain range by the inhabitants of Beaufort shortly after the Second World War. The resort was built in the same traditional style as Beaufort and later the modern 'mini resort' of Le Planay was added. The peaceful and inviting atmosphere makes these ski resorts ideal for families and beginners.
In the ski area of Arêches-Beaufort there are varied slopes of different lengths and difficulties and a snowpark for snowboarders. The ski area offers 50 km of slopes and cross-country skiers can enjoy beautiful trails totalling 38 km. Most of these are located in Beaufort and Le Bersend but Arêches-Beaufort is also an excellent destination for cross-country skiers. There are some interesting excursion options from Arêches-Beaufort including visits to the many beautiful Baroque churches nearby.
