Ski resort Santa Caterina Valfurva

Santa Caterina Valfurva in short

  • Height: 1734 - 2726 metres
  • 35km of slopes
  • Long ski season thanks to snow cannons
  • 8-seater sightseeing gondola

The Santa Caterina ski area has 35km of slopes, primarily red, and boasts a vertical drop of around 1000m. The new 8-seater gondola, suitable even for non-skiers, whisks guests up to the Valle dell'Alpe and the Sunny Valley hut to enjoy fantastic panoramic views.

The snowmaking facilities at Santa Caterina ensure snow cover from November to April. The Santa Caterina Valfurva ski school is a popular option with children, who can learn to ski on the magic carpet. If you're looking for a challenge, try the Deborah Compagnoni ski piste, inaugurated for the FIS Alpine Skiing World Championships in 2005. The slope is also floodlit for night skiing. Santa Caterina also has 15km of cross-country ski trails and a handful of mountain restaurants.
