Ski area Formiguères

The Formigueres ski area is located near the historic village of the same name. The ski area lies at an altitude of 1700 meters with slopes as high as 2400 meters above sea level. Formigueres is a quiet ski area, ideal for beginners and those looking for peaceful skiing away from the masses. The village Formiqueres is beautiful and well worth visiting.

The Formigueres ski area has about 22 kilometers of ski runs of which 4 are green, 9 blue, 8 red and one black. Beginners are really in the right place here with lots of easy and quiet ski slopes. The Formigueres area is served by two 4-seater chair lifts and 4 drag lifts. There is a free ski bus between the ski area and the village of Formigueres. For young children learning to ski there is the ESF Pioupiou club and a day care nursery. There is one restaurant on the slopes and there are also restaurants in the village. Occasionally there are events such as disco-skiing organised in Formigueres!
