The slopes of the Skikarussell Altastenberg are located right next to the village. Blue, red, or black – there’s something for every level. Thanks to a large number of modern snow cannons, the pistes remain in good condition even during less favourable weather conditions. Walkers and cross-country skiers will also feel at home in the Altastenberg area, with a wide range of trails and tracks available. A popular event in Altastenberg is the Siuerlänner Skiloap – the largest cross-country skiing event in North Rhine-Westphalia, and open to non-professionals as well.
