Col d' Ornon is a great ski resort for families with small children. There is no real resort center, but at the bottom of the slopes there are a few restaurants and shops. Accommodation in Col d'Ornon is spread out throughout the resort - there are no hotels, only a few houses, apartments, guesthouses and chalets. In winter you can ski in Col d'Ornon's own ski area but also try snowshoeing and near the ski area is a beautiful frozen waterfall well-worth visiting. You do not come to Col d'Ornon for lively après-ski as it's mostly quiet in the evening but there are a number of bars and restaurants. Col d'Ornon is the perfect ski resort to enjoy a skiing holiday in peace and quiet.
