We visited Sölden twice this season, once in January and then in spring. We particularly enjoyed the high alpine area, which had well-groomed pistes but also some deep powder and ski touring possibilities. All in all a terrific spot, and the staff and locals are really friendly and accommodating. This will remain one of my favourite ski resorts. Superb!

Sölden is a lively ski area with many slopes above 1800m. The pistes are well-groomed and snow is guaranteed thanks to the snow cannons. Queues are bearable even on bank holidays, and there are plenty of places to stop and relax and enjoy the view. When I was there, the conditions were perfect, with pleasant temperatures and great snow. All in all, we had a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend this ski resort.

“Great autumn ski day„

After a stormy and snowy day yesterday, we had bluebird skies today, albeit with a few slight rough patches. The only catch on this beautiful ski day was the 20-min wait for the gondola up the Rettenbach glacier; the Tiefenbach glacier side was very crowded. Normally people are better at spreading out at a ski resort! But I was in a good mood no matter what. A shout-out to the Ötztal transit company, who rose to the occasion in providing enough buses to carry all the skiers.
